Alloy 321 stainless steel is a titanium-stabilized version of alloy 304, used in particular applications within the sensitizing temperature range. It’s resistance to sensitization, coupled with it higher strength, at high temperatures makes it suitable in application where alloy 304 will become sensitized, or where 304L has insufficient hot strength.
